Welcome to our website!

We are an organization of high school students in Austin, Texas, who compete in speech, debate, and drama events and activities all over the state of Texas and parts of the nation. We are proud members of the National Forensic League (NFL) and the Texas Forensic Association (TFA), and we also compete in the University Interscholastic League (UIL). We are a relatively new school, but are proud of our short history, not to mention one of the best squads in the Austin area. We are located in the Heart of Texas NFL District and were able to qualify six of our squad members to attend NFL's 1999 Dessert Sun Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona, this past summer. Last year, we qualified four members of our squad to attend NFL's 1998 Gateway National Tournament in beautiful St. Louis, Missouri. Congratulations to Elaine Shore who attended in Dramatic Interpretation, Johnathan Stinson who qualified in Student Congress but was unable to attend, Alison Cheatham who attended in Humorous Interpretation , and Lily Shen who attended in Student Congress.

McNeil would like to congratulate the following outstanding members of our squad for their exemplary performances which qualified them to attend the TFA State Tournament in March of 1999.

Gregory Bove received 3rd in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the Westwood Tournament.

Ginette Doig received 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation at the Coronado Tournament in Lubbock and 3rd at the Clark-O'Connor Tournament in San Antonio.

Trevor Hartman received 1st in Humorous Interpretation at the Coronado Tournament and at the Round Rock Tournament. He also received 3rd in Origional Oratory at the Westwood Tournament and 1st at the Round Rock Tournament.

Nathan John received 1st in Origional Oratory at the Coronado Tournament and at the Westwood Tournament. He also received 3rd in Humorous Interpretation at the Westwood Tournament.

Quincy Johnson received 1st in Dramatic Interpretation at the Clark-O'Connor Tournament.

Bobby Moreno received 1st in Origional Oratory at the Hays Tournament in Buda.

Meghan Leary received 3rd in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking at the Coronado Tournament and at the Round Rock Tournament.

Lily Shen received 2nd in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking at the Westlake Tournament. She was the first member of our squad to qualify for the TFA State Tournament for the 98-99 season. She also received 2nd in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking at the Coronado Tournament.
